Robotic Lawn Mowers: Robomower, Lawnbott/ Ambrogio, and Bigmow Automatic Lawnmowers

Installing a robotic lawn mower is is fairly simple, but does take some logical thinking for the layout.  A perimeter wire needs to be run similar to the diagram.

The wire need not be buried, but I take a half moon manual edger that I got from Lowe's for about $ 25 to make a depression.  Then I tuck the wire under the grass.  This keeps the blade from cutting the wire and makes it barely noticeable.  After about a month  the wire will be completely covered and will no longer visible.

Installation for 1,000 sq. ft. yard takes about three hours.  Once it is set up and you are comfortable with it then sit back for years of enjoyment.

Your friends and neighbors will be astonished how it "just knows" to go to your property line or garden and turn away.
